★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 491 reviews · 6 hours · from $37Best value

Review of Paraty’s six-hour jeep tour to Pedra Branca, Tobogã, Poço do Tarzan, and a traditional cachaça distillery.

“The tour allows you to visit 3 different places, the first stops allows you to see two waterfalls (One for pictures and the second you’re able to stand under if you wish). There is also opportunity to swim at the first stop. The second stop is the distillery, really interesting as you’re provided with a talk about the history and how Cachaça is made and then you get to taste many flavours!! Then you head for lunch at Restaurant Poco do Tarzan, we ordered chicken, rice, fries and beans for two it was delicious and the portion was huge! Then you get the opportunity to slide down the waterfall. Brilliant…”

“Everything was fantastic and well organized. They come to pick up us at the hotel, we stopped at the bar to have breakfast and then we leave for the experience. We visited all the sites described in the site and we had a very good lunch with local river fish and meat. The group is composed by 15 people and we were followed by the guide for everything. I suggest this experience even if it’s a little bit challenging because we need to walk thought the forest for about 2 hours .. go up on the hills , on the river , ecc .. it’s good if you live wild…”

“Pietro was an amazing guide. He knows all the great falls as he has been raised around this beautiful Forest which has all kinds of animals. We got to see 2 types of Monkey’s, I recall the name of the bigger one which is all black its called a “Prego” meaning a nail. Loads of Jackfruit which isn’t originally from Brazil. The Portuguese brought in lots of animals, plants, trees etc from Africa. I was very impressed as I had no idea and the Horto exists thanks to Dom Pedro Portuguese King with the influence of his wife Queen Isabel who convinced him Rio needed a forest if it would…”

Hike Pedra da Gávea to Garganta do Céu for Rio views, tropical forest, monkeys, and a refreshing Sorimã Waterfall swim.

“This was a very challenging hike for me. Took me 2hrs going up. Rugged terrain with lots of rocks. Ron Beulah is an excellent guide and truly helped to make sure that I got up and down without incident. There were 3 tourists & 1 guide. If you have any major health issues or are out of shape do not do this hike! You need at least 2 liters of water and snacks. It was very rewarding and satisfying to see the monkeys and tropical forests. I’d do it again since I’m aware of the level of difficulty.”

“We bought the combo tour that claims to include a jungle drive, hidden trail hike to a smaller waterfall, and boat ride to the iguazu falls. We received 2/3; got robbed of our hidden trail hike. Kept asking the tour guide when the hike was going to happen but she was useless. Not worth the money.”
